Mariposas Class - Bilingual Pre-K
This class is designed for students ages 3-5. I teach basic preschool content, but I do so bilingually. The purpose of this class is to prepare students for Kindergarten in two languages. Therefore, whether your child will attend a monolingual school or dual language school, he or she will be prepared!
This class has monthly themes. We learn about one letter each week; one shape, color, number, and season a month; and the topic of the theme. We read storybooks, sing songs, play little games, and do activities in our two target languages: English and Spanish. No prior knowledge of a second language is required!
Students receive a binder and one or two items of homework per class period. Students are also invited to special events throughout the year!
*Please note that parents/guardians and younger siblings are required to stay in the room during the class. Younger siblings who do NOT participate do NOT need to pay. Younger siblings who do participate should be enrolled students.

adult classes
These two adult classes are designed to be complementary to one another. The conversation class is purely in Spanish and experiential. No homework is assigned. Just show up, speak Spanish for 25 minutes, and leave.
The adult beginner Spanish class is more structured. Students receive a pre-made binder and Spanish dictionary. We do not use a textbook, but rather make one throughout the year. This class is designed to set a foundation of basic Spanish language knowledge, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, and culture.
