These customized Spanish tutoring sessions are available to all ages. Our goal in offering Spanish tutoring is to help each student move closer toward being fully bilingual, including speaking, reading, and writing. These tutoring sessions are tailored to the individual's needs.
Each student must complete a “Language Level Assessment Form” PRIOR to the first day of tutoring so that the tutor may assess his or her current abilities and goals and plan accordingly. Each session is different. For a young student, class may start with a greeting song, then move to a Google Slides presentation about weather vocabulary, then a song or two related to the weather vocabulary, then interaction completely in Spanish about how a person should dress in different weather, and end with an explanation of homework and a good-bye song. For an older student, class may start with a conversational greeting, then move to a Google Slides review of verb conjugation, then move to writing a simple story using 5 sentences, then act out the story using visuals and Spanish conversation, and end with an explanation of homework and a good-bye.
Regardless of age or proficiency level, homework will be assigned to ensure that the student is engaging with the Spanish language in his or her home environment as well.
