ABOUT US
¡Hola, Padres!
My name is RaShae Smith. I founded Libélula Spanish School because I believe in the importance of all Texans knowing English and Spanish in the 21st century. Young children are natural language sponges. They are eager to learn and studies show that they absorb language much faster than adults. This is the perfect time to introduce a foreign language to your child! Our students learn through songs, stories, and most importantly play!
I am not a native Spanish speaker. I understand what it feels like to approach a brand new language with no knowledge whatsoever. I took my first Spanish class as a high school Freshman and fell in love with it. I continued studying Spanish at Lubbock Christian University, graduating with a degree in education in 2009. Today I am a certified Spanish teacher who enjoys sharing her love of Spanish with others.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Joshua for 9 years. We have 2 beautiful daughters: Autumn, who is 5 years old, and Lily, who is 3 years old. Our family attends Legacy Church of Christ.
